How to record a Zoom meeting on iPhone
Three reliable ways to capture a Zoom call on iPhone, plus the option that works without the iOS Zoom app at all.
Recording a Zoom call from an iPhone has a few wrinkles: the iOS Zoom app's built-in recording requires a paid host, the iOS screen recorder captures the whole screen including notifications, and uploading large videos from Photos to your team is a hassle. RecordMeeting's mobile webapp lets you join and record the call directly to your workspace, so you skip the screen-recorder cleanup entirely.
Steps
- 1
Option 1: Join via the RecordMeeting webapp
Open recordmeeting.com in mobile Safari, sign in, and join your Zoom meeting from there. The recording uploads directly to your workspace. No extra screen recorder, no Photos cleanup.

Option 2: Use the iOS screen recorder
Settings → Control Center → add Screen Recording. Open the Zoom mobile app and join the call. Swipe down from the top-right to open Control Center. Long-press the record button, enable Microphone, then tap Start Recording. Stop from the same place when done. The clip saves to Photos.

Option 3: Record on desktop, view on mobile
If you also have a Mac or PC, record from RecordMeeting's Chrome extension on desktop. Recordings sync to your workspace and you can watch, share or download them from your iPhone in mobile Safari.
Good to know
Why the iOS screen recorder isn't ideal
iOS screen recording captures the whole screen, including notifications, battery indicator, and anything you switch to. It also stops capturing the meeting if you swipe to another app. The RecordMeeting webapp captures the call itself, regardless of what's on screen.
