How to transcribe a Google Meet meeting
Get an accurate, searchable transcript and AI summary of any Google Meet call, automatically, in 50+ languages.
Works with
Google Meet's native transcription is limited to certain Workspace plans and a handful of languages. If you want a transcript of every meeting, in any language, on any plan, the simplest path is the RecordMeeting Chrome extension. It records the call in your browser and produces a transcript, summary, and action items the moment the meeting ends.
No admin or paid plan
Works on any Google account, including free Gmail and any Workspace tier. Skip the IT request.
No notetaker bot in the room
Recording happens locally in your browser tab. No third-party participant joins the call.
Video, transcript and AI summary
Every recording becomes an MP4, a transcript in 50+ languages, and a summary with action items.

Install the RecordMeeting Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. Sign in with your Google account when prompted. It's free to start and no credit card is required.

Record your Meet call
Click the RecordMeeting button inside the Meet interface to start recording. No bot joins the call. Audio and video are captured locally in your browser.
