Granola Pricing in 2026: Is Granola Free, and What Does It Cost?

Granola simplified its pricing in 2026. The old Individual plan is gone, and there are now three plans: a free Basic plan, Business at $14 per user per month and Enterprise from $35 per user per month. This guide explains what each one includes, where the free plan stops, and how the cost compares with a recorder that also keeps your video.

Prices below come from Granola’s pricing page and its billing help article, checked on October 28, 2026. Plans change, so confirm on Granola’s site before you buy.

Basic$0FreeTrying Granola, light use
Business$14 per user per monthMonthlyIndividuals and teams who want full history and integrations
EnterpriseFrom $35 per user per monthAnnual contractCompanies that need SSO, compliance and admin controls

A few billing rules surprise people:

  • Business is billed monthly. Granola doesn’t publish an annual discount for Business. Annual billing is for Enterprise contracts.
  • Billing is per workspace. Every active member of a workspace is a paid seat, and you can’t mix free and paid members in the same workspace.
  • The Individual plan was retired. Users on the old $18 Individual plan are being moved to Business. Many comparison sites still list it, so be careful with older articles.
  • Discounts exist. Startups and students can get 12 months of Business free, and nonprofits get 50% off.

Is Granola free?

Yes, Granola has a free plan called Basic. It includes meeting transcription and AI notes, and Granola says no plan has a daily transcription limit. The catch is history and features:

  • You only see the last 30 days of notes. Older notes are kept but hidden until you upgrade. You can still export them as a CSV.
  • Chat uses the automatic model only. You can’t choose the model for chat.
  • Slack is the only integration. Notion, HubSpot, Attio, Affinity and Zapier need Business.
  • The MCP server only reaches the last 30 days.
  • The mobile apps are free on iPhone, Android and Apple Watch.

For someone who takes a few meetings a week and rarely looks back more than a month, Basic can be enough. For anyone who needs to find what a customer said last quarter, the 30-day window is the reason to upgrade.

What Business adds

Business at $14 per user per month removes the 30-day limit and unlocks the rest of the product: full note history, model choice in chat, the integrations above, full MCP access, and the API and webhooks.

What Enterprise adds

Enterprise starts at $35 per user per month. It adds SSO and SCIM for larger teams, a HIPAA BAA, an audit API, admin-enforced sharing and consent settings, and a workspace-wide opt-out from model training. Salesforce integration is also Enterprise only.

What no Granola plan includes

Some things are not a pricing question, because Granola doesn’t offer them at any price:

  • Audio or video recording. Granola doesn’t store audio or video. You get the transcript and notes, not the call.
  • Uploading a recording. You can’t import an existing audio or video file.
  • Linux and ChromeOS. Capture needs the Mac or Windows desktop app. See Granola for Linux and Chromebook.
  • Data residency outside the US. Granola stores data on AWS in the US.

Granola vs RecordMeeting pricing

RecordMeeting records the meeting itself, with video and audio, from your Chrome tab with no bot in the call, then adds a transcript, AI notes and chat on top. Here is how the plans line up.

For one person, RecordMeeting Pro billed yearly works out to $108 a year, against $168 a year for Granola Business, and it includes the video. Billed monthly, the two are within a dollar of each other.

For a team, Granola Business is slightly cheaper per seat ($14 against $15 billed yearly). The difference is what the seat buys: with RecordMeeting, every meeting your team records is kept as a video that anyone with access can rewatch and share.

On the free plans, the two make different trade-offs. Granola Basic gives you notes but hides anything older than 30 days. RecordMeeting Free gives you the recordings themselves, and transcripts and AI notes start with Pro.

RecordMeeting’s paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. See RecordMeeting pricing for the current details.

Which should you pick?

  • Pick Granola Basic if you want free AI notes, rarely look back more than a month and never need the recording.
  • Pick Granola Business if you live in its notepad and rely on its HubSpot, Attio or Notion integrations.
  • Pick RecordMeeting if you want the recording itself, need to work on Linux or a Chromebook, or want to share meetings as video rather than as notes.
